The UK Reiki Federation - Practitioners and Teachers
About the UK Reiki Federation online list of practitioners and teachers
This online database lists Practitioner or Teacher Members of the UK Reiki Federation. It is important to understand that, until there is formal accreditation of Reiki training based on approved national standards, this is not a professional endorsement or accreditation. This is a temporary list until National Standards for Reiki are developed and a register of professional practitioners is in place.
Membership category requirements
As an interim measure the UK Reiki Federation has acknowledged that, as a minimum, all those listed here have the following:
- Practitioner Members (PM):
- Minimum 12 months since Reiki I
- Minimum Reiki II
- Sign Codes of Ethics
- Must hold current practitioner insurance
- Master Practitioner Members (MPM) - as PM, plus:
- Hold Master Certificate or Reiki III or 3a
- Teachers (MT) - as MPM, plus:
- Hold Master Teacher Certificate or Reiki IV or 3b
(Please note that, since we do now distinguish teachers on this
website listing, it is no longer necessary to contact the office in order
to identify those who teach. Also that those listed as teachers are almost
always also active and experienced practitioners!)
Using the list:
There are three ways to search the list:
- Click on a map of Regions, (then on a map of Areas in that Region).
- Use a seach form; (most flexible, including names of places/people and postcodes)
- Select a local Area from a full list of Regions/Areas;
By default, the results are sorted by Town/City in which the individual practises/teaches, though you can change this if you are using the form. Geographic information is generally as advised by each practitioner, although a certain amount of checking is done as members are allocated to administrative Areas, grouped into larger Regions.
IMPORTANT: We are aware that there are currently some inconsistencies between stated practice locations, counties and postcodes, and the Areas in which individuals are listed. We therefore request that all members check their entries carefully and advise us of any corrections as soon as possible!
This website listing is extracted directly from our database of members. It does not represent our full membership list, only those members who have chosen to be listed in this public directory. The database will be the source for the UK Reiki Federation's contribution to the future compilation of the Register of Reiki Practitioners, under Voluntary Self-Regulation (VSR).
Contacting a practitioner/teacher:
When you have found a practitioner or teacher you wish to contact, we suggest that you print out his/her details for you to keep. We have removed clickable email addresses from the list to reduce the amount of SPAM (junk email) received by our members. Email addresses are now shown as a somewhat scrambled image - if you have difficulty reading it, click on the link to change the scrambling, which may reveal more clearly the letter(s) of which you are unsure.
The simplest contact method, for any member who has given an email address in their contact details, is using the new Contact Form at the foot of the page. However, since this is inherently slightly less reliable* than direct email, please do follow up by phone or email if you have not heard back after a couple of days!
* Some mail servers do not process machine-generated emails correctly so, occasionally, messages are either lost or treated as SPAM. This is very unusual, however, or we would not be using this method! (WebWeaver)
Note: Contact details are provided solely for the use of individuals seeking
a Reiki practitioner or teacher - please do not use them for unsolicited
calls ("cold calling") or email ("SPAM") or any other form
of marketing. Steps have been taken to identify such activity, and individuals
or organisations doing so will be black-listed and/or reported to appropriate
Though we take every care updating this list, please check your entry carefully, particularly if you have recently advised us of any changes.
This website listing is extracted directly from our database of members. The database will be the source for the UK Reiki Federation's contribution to the future compilation of the Register of Reiki Practitioners, under Voluntary Self-Regulation (VSR). It is very important that it is complete and accurate. Please therefore advise the admin office of any amendments to your contact details either by email or hard copy, indicating clearly if you do not wish this information to be made available to the public. Please check especially carefully that the geographic information on your listing is consistent - that the location, county, postcode and Area all relate to the same address, and that this is your main practise (not your home, if different). Please also remember to provide ongoing evidence of your Reiki practitioner insurance, as this is a requirement for your listing on this website.
ADVERTISE YOUR WEBSITE! Website URLs may now be included. There is an admin charge of £10.00 per entry for addition or amendment of a URL. URL additions/amendments will not be made unless confirmed in writing and accompanied by the appropriate fee.
Please be patient: Updates are normally posted every 4-6 weeks. (The 'date posted' may be a week or two after the cut-off date for the latest changes.)
The full, up to date Practitioner & Teacher Listing is held within the Federation Admin Office, therefore, if you need further information please contact the office on firstname.lastname@example.org.
